Our Beliefs.
Our beliefs are based on the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith.
We believe in one true and living God:
The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; that these three are One, and are harmoniously equal in infinite power, justice, holiness, mercy, love, and truth.
Genesis 1:2 and 26, Isaiah 43:10-11, Isaiah 44:6, 1 Timothy 2:5, 1 John 5:7
We believe the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the word of God,
inspired and inerrant, and the only rule of faith and practice.
2 Chronicles 34:21, Isaiah 40:21, Romans 15:4, 2 Timothy 3:16-17
We believe in the total depravity of the entire human family,
which is corrupted and defiled in body, soul, intellect, and will, and that man is unable to recover himself from his lost and ruined state.
Genesis 6:5, John 5:40, Romans 3:10-18, Ephesians 2:1-3
We believe in particular, eternal, and unconditional election;
the new birth, which is the effectual calling of the elect; and the final preservation of the saints.
Isaiah 45:4, John 3:3-5, John 15:16, Romans 8:30-39, Romans 9:9-13, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 1:4, Ephesians 2:1
We believe that God predestinated all His elect subjects
unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ, which was wholly according to the good pleasure of His own will, and for the praise of His marvelous grace.
Acts 2:23, Romans 8:29-30, Ephesians 1:5-11
We believe Jesus Christ to be the only begotten Son of God,
the only Savior and Redeemer, and the only Mediator between God and man.
Matthew 1:21, John 3:16, Galatians 4:4-5, 1 Timothy 2:5
We believe that redemption is by God’s grace alone
through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that sinners are justified before God only through the imputed righteousness of Christ.
Romans 3:24, Romans 5:9, Ephesians 2:8
We believe that all who are called of God are under obligation to do good works
and that there is great reward in the keeping of His commandments.
Deuteronomy 7:12-13, Matthew 5:16, 2 Corinthians 9:8, Titus 3:8
We believe that Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances of the Church of Jesus Christ,
and that the washing of the saint’s feet is an example to be kept, that true believers in Christ are the only subjects fit for baptism, and that the only water baptism taught or recognized in the Bible is immersion.
John 4:1-2, Mark 16:15, Acts 2:38, Acts 8:36-39, Luke 22:14-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-24, John 13:1-7, 2 John 1:10-11, Hebrews 13:10, Romans 6:1-11
We believe that the bodies of all men will be resurrected from the grave,
that the joys of the righteous will be eternal, and that the punishment of the wicked will be everlasting.
John 5:28-29, 1 Corinthians 15:12-19, Revelation 20:4, Daniel 7:27
We believe that the Church of God is the only ecclesiastical body on earth,
subject alone to God for all her acts, and that her form of government is congregational, with each member having an equal voice in all her acts.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.”
— Matthew 28:19
